If you can't have a boat, it's nice to have friends with a boat!!!! We went to Roche Harbor and Stuart Island today with Pam and Craig (below). It was a good adventure and a beautiful day!
This Island is called Spieden Island. It's privately owned and apparently at one time, the man who owns it had a bunch of African animals imported to it...giraffes etc... There are some animals that thrived and are still there. Some antelope and whatever these guys are...
The gardens at Roche Harbor are still beautiful although everything is dying down. The wisteria must be a hundred years old!! Amazing!

There were loads of seals out today including a sea lion that we didn't get a snapshot of.. These guys are soo cute.

beautiful Stuart Island. There are a bunch of houses on this island and a one room school house up the hill, but we ran out of time. Next time!!!
