Lost and Found

So, our neighbor informed us this evening that we had a parrot in our tree. After a couple of near misses, we managed to attract it with some hamster food, and Grant caught it. It is a Mealy Rosella as far as we can tell from some internet searching. The picture doesn't show the colors all that well. It has an amazing patch of bright red under it's tail. It is a native of Australia. We are going to put up some "found Bird" posters in town, and try to track down the owner.
