Is it really August? This has been the coldest, most un-summery summer since 1993. (the year that drove me to Texas!) but there have been some nice days. All in all, 68-75 degrees isn't so bad. Here is Ben with the Staub's latest addition, Luke. Very cute wee puppy!!! Ben was gentle with him even with his almost uncontrollable urge to play hard!

my first "dilly beans" There is nothing more satisfying than filling up your shelves with food you grew in your garden!!! Hopefully these will be good. I also did some pickled beets and even a jar of pickles!
