Kira's baptism - August 28

Kira surprised us this year by wanting to get baptized. Not that we thought she wasn't ready, but just that she decided on her own. It was a beautiful and emotional day. One of the best days of my life so far. Aunt Shell, Grandma, Doug and lots of people came to the Ohlman's where we have the annual bbq/baptism.

It was a great privilege for Grant to be the one to baptize Kira...

..and my privilege to help!

It was great that Granny and Papa were able to be here as well.
All the kids like to play in the pond afterwards

the bull kelp harvest that my friend Rose has collected for me this summer. She lives on the North shore close to where we used to live. I will be busy this winter!

So exciting! Isn't it wonderful to be a part of your daughter's baptism? Mike was able to do that as well with our daughters! Wish we could have been there too. Love you guys!
