Patos Island

I've got more photos, but the website is being really weird at the moment. So here are a few photos from Patos Island. Our friends Gretchen and Chris , who are park rangers, took Paula and I to Sucia and Patos Island last week. It was amazing as you can almost see from the photos. I am convinced they have the BEST job ever!! aside from my sister!

The infamous lighthouse! A family of 13 lived here years ago. We've got the book. It's kind of crazy what they went through. They moved here and had some animals and once a month they rowed to Bellingham for supplies. Supposedly they moved here from Port Townsend because they were embarrassed for having so many children! Come and visit and you can read the book! :)

WOW, I love this Island!!! The lighthouse is all mechanical now.
