Here Glen explains how to evacuate the plane , should an emergency occur. I guess I probably should have been listening instead of taking photos!

We headed out of Anchorage and then straight towards the Mountains where we turned into Lake Clark pass. It was the most amazing flight ever. Glen said it was our "movie" for the trip!
this glacier looks like a highway!
Coming in for a landing. Notice the gravel/dirt runway ahead!
This is the inside of "the farm lodge" This is where Glen and Patty live. It used to be their main lodge, but about 3 years ago a new lodge was built and is run by their son Glen Jr. It is just behind this one.
Glen makes his famous sour dough pancakes.

Dinner time. Patty makes a lot of food! She has 17 grandchildren all living near by!!! Can you imagine!???
One of my favorite parts of this trip was being able to see all of our family together doing their annual fishing. They set nets out in the lake where the Sockeye run is pretty full on, then they bring in the nets and have an assembly line where they clean the fish and then can some, smoke some and freeze the rest. Everyone works, even the kids. It is an amazing process. They were delighted by Brandee's fish expertise!
assembly line
fish heads, fish heads...rolly polly....ugh.
salmon that has been canned..or jarred.
outside the smoke house.
inside the smoke house. This was cool because when we went to the Alutiiq museum and saw photos of how the native people use to smoke fish etc... well, our family is still doing it!! It is so delicious!
On our way back from our walk we happened to bump into Franklin Graham! He is good friends with Glen and Patty. They do a lot of flying together for Samaritan's purse. I told him how his Aunt Rosa teaches bible study at our church on Orcas. It's a small world sometimes.
On a sunny day, all the kids come out and swim. Even though the water is so cold it aches your feet!!!
little planes line the lake edge. Just like cars in the driveway!
on the trail....
This couple has 17 little guys....and gals.
This is only a baby cabbage!!! Things grow so well in Alaska because of all the sunlight. It stays light until very late....1-ish.
The cellar where they keep all of the potatoes.
the farm garden
This is a cache, where people keep food that they want to keep safe from animals. This is a short version. Not sure what it's for.
reflection of Tanalian Mountain. View from the Lodge.
This is the church and bible camp main building. It was donated by my Grandma's sister Mary and her husband Leon.

inside the sanctuary
view from the sanctuary. It was hard to pay attention to the speaker!
Here's a photo of a photo of Mary and Leon. I guess she used to shoot (and was an amazing shot) while he flew. Trapping was a pretty good way to make a living back in the day..
Tanalian falls. We flew over this when we left. This is the g-force turn that set Brandee back for the rest of the ride.
Back in Anchorage we had one more day where we went to the Native museum. I didn't take as many photos as I wanted to or thought I did, but on our way in we saw this moose.
An Alutiiq house. We were the first hobbits!! That's it for this Alaskan trip. It was amazing!
